- As we near the end of our season, it’s incredibly important that students do all that they can to take care of their minds and bodies. They are working so hard at practice, which I’m very thankful for, but they need to work equally as hard in their
down time to rest/hydrate/eat good foods/etc. etc. This is also a time when illness/etc. can creep into the band room, so please remind students to wash hands, not share water bottles, etc. We need students to be at each rehearsal moving forward to help achieve our highest goals, so please help remind the students to take care of themselves! - Looking ahead to our state championship weekend. As you know, that trip is an overnight trip, and we are staying at a Holiday Inn Express in Horse Cave. Just recently we were made aware that there is an adult bookstore approximately 3/10 of a mile away from our hotel. We weren’t aware of this until after we had made our hotel reservations, and at this
point we aren’t able to make any hotel changes since they are already booked up for the weekend. The hotel we are staying in is a very nice newer hotel and has an excellent rating online. The store is away from our hotel, so we shouldn’t pass it on our way to the hotel, but I’m sure there will be signage that will be seen from the highway. Rest assured we will monitor the students very closely for our entire stay, so I don’t anticipate any cause for concern, but I wanted to make sure we were all informed. Feel free to contact Cindy Richmond ormyself if you have any further questions in this regard.
Looking forward to putting on a great show at GRC this weekend!!!
GO RAIDERS!!!
Take care,
joe
