Instrument Checkout
Hello Ryle Band Families,
Marching Band 2019 is underway!! Our percussion, guard, and new wind members are off to a great start! Looking forward to seeing everyone here next week as well!!! Thanks to our Band Boosters, we have spent $8,000 this summer to put our instruments in top shape! They have taken a bit longer than expected to be completed, but will be ready this week.
Friday, 7/19 we will have instrument checkout here at Ryle from 5-7:30pm for the following instruments:
- School owned Woodwinds
- School owned Marching Brass
- School owned concert baritones
- Our school owned Concert Tubas and Concert French horns are still in the repair shop and will be for another couple of weeks. We will send out further communication for those instruments when they are back at Ryle.
Here is the process for checkout:
- Please see attached Instrument Rental Agreement. We will complete the instrument portion on the form when you check one out, but we need parent/student signature on the form as well. If your student is coming up on their own, please sign a copy of this form and have them bring it with them!
- There is a $30 rental fee for each instrument for the 2019-2020 school year. Please make checks out to Ryle Band Boosters.
- If your child is using a school owned brass instrument, they will be required to use Blue Juice Valve Oil. One bottle of Blue Juice should last an entire school year. You are welcome to purchase this on your own, but we also have it here at school for purchase. It is $5 per bottle from us, so if you’d like to add that to your rental check we will provide a bottle of Blue Juice as well.
- All school owned brass instruments will also come with a complimentary tube of slide grease. Want to keep these instruments in good order!!!
- School owned woodwinds that require a mouthpiece will have one provided to all students. We don’t provide reeds, etc., but they can also be purchased from us, as well:
- Clarinet: $2 per reed
- Alto Sax: $3 per reed
- Tenor Sax: $4 per reed
- Bass Clarinet: $4 per reed
- Bari Sax: $5 per reed
If you have any additional questions, let us know.
GO RAIDERS!!!
Take care,
joe
