Anthony Gilleland
Originally from Irvine, California, Anthony Gilleland started his teaching career at Woodbridge High School, his alma mater, in 2015. Since then, he has taught at other notable groups such as Pulse Percussion, Chino Hills HS, Gahr HS as well as many other high school programs in the Southern California area. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Percussion Performance from CSU Fullerton where he studied with Ken McGrath, Rob Slack, and Todd Miller.
On top of teaching high schools and Independent groups in California, Anthony has also worked for many Drum Corps in the activity. Starting at Pacific Crest in 2019, he later moved on to Carolina Crown, where he taught from 2019 to 2022. He then moved to The Cadets in 2023 as the Front Ensemble Coordinator and Orchestrator, and The Blue Stars in 2024 as a Front Ensemble tech. He now works with The Mandarins as a Front Ensemble tech.
Recently, for indoor percussion, Anthony was on staff as a consultant with the Percussion Independent World Finalist group George Mason University in 2022 and as a designer for the 2023 season. From there, he started working as a consultant with MBI Indoor Percussion for the 2024 and 2025 indoor seasons.
He now lives in Fort Mitchell, KY, where he designs and consults with groups all around the Tri-State area.
