Congratulations on becoming a member of the Ryle High School Marching Band whether as a performer or as a parent. Membership will bring great benefits to you and your child. For some, it is an increase in their child’s self confidence. It can also build a new network of friends, or it can give your child a sense of pride and accomplishment after working hard and giving a great performance. For parents, marching band will allow you to be a part of your child’s life, sharing in their accomplishments and watching them grow as individuals and musicians.
The rookie liaison is an immediate life line to all your rookie questions. They have been in your shoes and know that you will have questions. This year’s rookie liaison is Alecia Hunt, mother of Trey Hunt (Percussion). Alecia can be contacted via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
With the Ryle Band we have many activities that REQUIRE volunteers. They are fun social gatherings for the parents and our wonderful band members while accomplishing an immediate goal. Here are a few ways that you can participate:
Band Equipment Team
Volunteer opportunities are posted in the band calendar on Charms. Please check the calendar regularly for the most recent information.
Ryle Marching Band Communication
A great way to keep up with current events is through the band booster meetings, which are held once a quarter. We discuss upcoming events, volunteer activities and competition details. You can also find activities posted on our Facebook page, Twitter page, and here on the Band website. Calendar dates are posted in Charms for all activities, practices and competitions.
