School has started and that means Football Friday Night!

Students must report to band room this Friday night before 6:00 pm wearing their new American Tapestry Show Shirts and khaki colored shorts.  The shirts will be handed out to all students Thursday after practice. Guard members report at the same time and will also be wearing their new American Tapestry Show Shirts and khaki colored shorts.

The game begins at 7:30 pm.  Students will perform at pregame and half time.  During the 3rd quarter they are offered a free hot dog and bottle of water by the Band Boosters.  Band members enter and exit the stadium as a group and sit together.


Pit and Drum Major stands:  Pit equipment and the 3 drum major stands will need moved from band room, down the hill to the side stadium entrance and then back up the hill after the game. Please confirm with either Jeff Wyman or Tracy Fuchs if you can help going down, and back up the hill.  Report to band room by 6:30.  These parents are also asked to help move the equipment on and off the field for halftime.

Stadium Seating:  A section of the home side stadium needs roped off for the band members to sit with their instruments.  Parents are asked to sit near this area to help keep the band seating section clear of other high school students and it shows strong spirit and support for our kids.

Bottled Water:  You can never have too much bottled water.  Drop off to band room any day, any time for the next few months!

Concessions:  Volunteer shifts are still needed and this is a fun time!  Visit the Charms Calendar, and then hit the Volunteer tab to see what slots are still available.

Parent Section Leaders:  If you have generously signed up to be a Parent Section Leader (thank you), consider this a great opportunity to encourage other parents in your kid’s section to sign up for concessions, or chaperoning/seat patrol.

Spirit Wear:  All students will receive a 2016 American Tapestry show shirt this week courtesy of the band boosters.  Parents do not need to buy a t-shirt for their kid. But it is great for parents and other siblings to wear show shirts at competitions. Also, students like to get sweatshirts for once it gets cooler out. Yes it will get cooler out regardless of what the thermometer says this week.  Due to the complexities involved with printing this years’ shirt, we only have ONE ordering window. Orders need to be placed by the end-of-day on August 21.  In the very near future, we will have other Ryle band spirit wear for sale via online orders only.


Shoe and Glove Order Reminder:  Shoes and Gloves have already been ordered. There are still some outstanding balances. If you have not paid for your shoes and gloves yet, please contact Tyra Laverne at to arrange payment as soon as possible.
